Questions to Ask Your Endodontist Before Your Visit

• Do I definitely need a root canal, or are there alternative treatments?
• What will the procedure feel like during and immediately after?
• How many appointments will I need to complete treatment?
• What type of anesthesia will you use, and can I be sedated if I am anxious?
• What should I expect during recovery, and how long until I feel normal?
• Will I need a crown after the root canal, and who typically places it?
• What are the signs that the treatment was successful?
• What are the risks if I choose not to have the procedure done?
